The Building of Sweden’s Power Coverage: On Turning into 100% Renewable

Previously one of the most fossil fuel dependent countries in the region, Sweden today is the EU Member State with the highest share of renewables. During this presentation, Per-Anders Widell, Deputy Director of Sweden’s Ministry of Environment and Energy, speaks about this structural change and the policies that have made the greatest impact. He talks about the new long-term energy policy agreement that aims for 100% renewables by 2040 and other current priorities for the development of the Swedish energy system.
