Advanced Energy Solutions (AES) is bp’s center of excellence for the exploration, evaluation, development and delivery of energy storage and energy management system solutions. To do this AES is currently developing a digital sandbox, emulating potential system architectures for bp sites containing a mixture of battery storage, EV ultra-fast charging, microgrids and integrated renewable infrastructure (grid-scale solar collocation, onshore wind, offshore wind, hydrogen production).
