Caught between constant insecurity, hunger and drought, the residents of the northern fringes of Kenya now have hope in the Northern Kenya Rangelands Carbon Project (NKRCP). In part two of our series on the Carbon Project in the Northern Rangelands, our reporter Opicho Chemtai brings us the story of hope for the locals whose lives have been transformed by the revenue from carbon credits, which they commonly refer to as “Pesa Ya Hewa”.
