District 6 The town Corridor: Renewable Power Generation
Vice Mayor Steve Madison hosts a District 6 Town Hall on renewable energy technology on May 8, at San Rafael Elementary. The program features an update on Pasadena Water and Power Department’s work by Acting General Manager David Reyes; a keynote address by Caltech Professor of Electrical Engineering Steven Low; and a panel discussion featuring Chris Yeh of Caltech whose research focuses on AI and electric power and works on Caltech’s sustainability plan, Cynthia Cannady of Pasadena 100, and Will McNamara of Sandia National Laboratories who works as an gird energy storage analyst, with moderator Wes Reutimann. The panel will discuss the renewable energy technology needed to achieve the City’s mandate to source 100% carbon-free electricity by 2030.
