‘Dumb choice’: Sky Information host blasts transfer to renewable power

Sky News host Paul Murray has blasted the “dumb decision” to move from Australia’s current energy system to renewables.

Mr Murray’s comments come as AEMO warns of blackouts in the summer.

“Yet another warning is telling us that most likely the heat of the summer would result in power blackouts,” Mr Murray said.

“Because we have made the dumb decisions to move to the system that yes pollutes but still works to the new one that doesn’t pollute as much … that doesn’t produce as much power as the old system that pollutes – we’re in a bit of spot of bother.

“We are warned yet again that as we move into the extremes of summer.”
