New UK battery machine to supply further power safety and reliability

A new 300 MW battery energy storage system (BESS) in the UK, the Cellarhead BESS, will be connected to National Grid’s Cellarhead substation in the West Midlands and will have a maximum energy capacity of 624 megawatt hours (MWh).
