Palestine renewable power: Producing power on rooftops
Israel has traditionally supplied 90 percent of the occupied West Bank’s electricity needs.
However, its residents are trying to develop their own renewable sources of energy with the construction of the largest solar plant in the territory.
But they are still stymied by strict Israeli restrictions on developing and getting access to the land, making it difficult for Palestinians to completely hook up to an alternative grid.
