Designing High quality and Aggressive 48C Initiatives
By the end of May, the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) and the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) will open the final round of the Section 48C Qualifying Advanced Energy Project Credit Applications (48C). The $6 billion in tax credits—including $2.5 billion reserved exclusively for projects in coal communities—will be available to support emission reduction projects in energy-intensive sectors and to strengthen the country’s clean technology supply chains. The BlueGreen Alliance (BGA) and the Rocky Mountain Institute (RMI) will host a two-part webinar series for economic development organizations to support businesses in their region put forth competitive applications. This webinar also included Evergreen Action and focused on a designing a competitive application, as well as building an initial concept paper due by June 21, 2024.
